Our grandson, Joey (Anthony) Hart, (age 4) loves the movie, "The Polar Express." He has watched it many times and memorized the actors lines, so he can act along with them while 'living' the movie.

I wanted to paint a scene from the movie for him. I chose one from the beginning, when the train stops in front of his house and the boy was picked up by the conductor. The title of the painting is based on the response of the conductor to a question from the boy, "Where is the train going?" The conductor says, "Why, to the North Pole, of course!"

Like most little boys, Joey loves super heroes, so I did a couple of paintings for him of two of his favorites, Superman and Spiderman. They are shown above. Recently, Joey has fallen in love with Indiana Jones from Raiders of the Lost Ark (except for the ending of the movie!), so I did the image of Indiana above, ready to do battle with the Nazi villains.
